The Rockford Mass Transit District conducts procurement transactions in a manner which provides for full and open competition. Rockford Mass Transit District takes all necessary affirmative steps to assure that minority firms, women business enterprises and labor surplus firms are used when possible.

The Rockford Mass Transit District hereby serves notice of its FY 2008 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program Goals. FY 2008 comprises the period of October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008.
DBE Goal: 2.0%
A copy of the proposed goal and its rationale are available for inspection during normal business hours at our administrative office at 520 Mulberry Street, Rockford, Illinois, 61101-1016 for thirty (30) days following this notice.
A forty-five (45) day comment period is in effect from the date of this notice wherein the public is invited to submit comments on the goal in writing to the Executive Director at the above address and/or to the U.S. Department of Transportation at the address listed below:

NOTICE
The Rockford Mass Transit District is actively seeking certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) capable of providing transit parts, supplies and services. Please submit to the address below, a brochure or catalog and/or letter of interest stating qualifications, certifications and area of service. In turn, the District will forward an application for DBE certification to the interested firm.
