as of 9.28.15: Please be advised that we are experiencing difficulties with our photo ID equipment at our downtown Transfer Center. We have a part on order to correct the situation and we are able to limp along at the present. We hope to have this fixed by Friday, 10/2/15. If it is not urgent that you acquire an ID this week, we would appreciate your patience in getting your ID next week. Thank you for your cooperation.
Effective Monday, 9/21/15 thru 11/16/15, Airport Drive will be closed for repairs. This will affect the #7 S. Main route, the #15 Kishwaukee route, the 35/45 night Kishwaukee route. The detours are as follows:
Detour for #7 S Main: from Airport Drive, L – Boeing, R – Research Pkwy, bus stop for Anderson Packaging will be moved to the SW corner of Research Pkwy and Assembly Dr. After pick up or drop at the stop, bus can turn around in abandoned lot next door and resume detour from Research Pkwy, to L – Boeing, R – Airport Dr. and resume regular route.
Detour for #15 Kishwaukee: bus stop at McDonalds on Samuelson Rd will be moved to the 1st driveway at the Airport Inn. After going to Blackhawk Road from Frontage Road, L – Samuelson, R – 11th St, L – Airport Drive, R – Frontage Rd, L – Capitol Drive, R – Technology Dr., L – Research Pkwy. Pick up for Anderson Packaging will be at the NE corner of Assembly Dr. & Research Pkwy. Then resume regular route.
Detour for #35/45 Kishwaukee/7th Street: from Kishwaukee, L – Research Pkwy, R – Technology Dr., L – Capitol Dr., R – Frontage Rd., L – Airport Dr., R – 11th Street, R – Samuelson & resume regular route. Pick up for Anderson Packaging will be at the SW corner of Research & Assembly.

You get off the bus at Target 173 but you need to go to OSF Rock Cut, MP Armory or Meijer Grocery Store. No worries, schedule a ride on RMTD’s new Call to Connect service and we will take you there. Problem solved.
Rockford Mass Transit’s New Call to Connect service picks up where our fixed route leaves off. Call us up to 24 hours before your trip and schedule your ride to the Armory, Meijer or OSF Rock Cut. We will meet you at the Target on I73 with our Call to Connect vehicle and take you to your final destination. Schedule a return trip and we will take you back to Target to connect with our Fixed Route. And, we will do this for the simply the cost of the Fixed Route fare. The Call to Connect transfers are free!

NOTE: As of Friday, 9.18.2015 the Trolley will stop running at the close of the City Market – 7:30 pm. Once again RMTD will be providing free park and ride trolley service for the 2015 City Market on Friday nights. Park your car at one of the designated parking sites and hop on the trolley. Effective Monday, July 2, 2015, S. Main will be closed from Mill to Chestnut. The detour is as follows:
Outbound: From Transfer Center, L Winnebago, L Morgan, R S. Main and resume route.
Inbound: L Morgan, R Winnebago, resume route.
Effective Monday, March 30, 2015 and running thru July 31, 2015, the following detour will be in effect for the #7 South Main route.
Outbound: From Airport Drive, L on Lockheed Drive, R on Boeing Drive to Research Pkwy, R on Technology Drive, L on Capital Drive, R on Frontage Road, R on Airport Drive, R on Assembly Drive, resume regular route.
Inbound: From Assembly Drive, L on Research Pkwy to Boeing Drive to Airport Drive and resume regular route.
