Persons With Disabilities Ride Free

Rockford Mass Transit District is pleased to announce, in accordance with Senate bill 1920, the implementation of free rides for persons with disabilities, beginning October 24th, 2008.

Waterfront Park and Ride Route

Rockford Mass Transit District will be providing Park and Ride Routes from 2 locations this year. Enjoy a stress free Waterfront experience by parking your car and riding the RMTD shuttles direct to the On The Waterfront entrance.

Students Ride Free

The Rockford Mass Transit District is pleased to announce that effective Monday, June 30, 2008 and running thru August 25, 2008, any student who presents an nCenter photo ID card during the hours of 1:00 pm and 10:00 pm Monday thru Thursday and between 1:00 pm and 11:00 pm Friday may ride any RMTD fixed route vehicle free of charge.

This new student free ride initiative is being done at the request of the City of Rockford in an effort to support and encourage participation in the newly opened nCENTER, a safe, positive and fun center for high school teens. Only those teens that are enrolled in nCENTER activities will be issued the nCENTER pass and it is only those students who will be allowed to ride for free during the center's hours of operation. Students not participating in nCENTER activities may ride for $.50 provided they have a valid Student ID or RMTD Student ID for 2008.
